“The best 50 innovative ideas for the Republic of Tatarstan” competition starts in Kazan

Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan and Academy of Science of the Republic of Tatarstan announce the opening for application process for the competition “The best 50 innovative ideas of the Republic of Tatarstan”.

Objectives:

• to increase the innovative potential of Tatarstan Republic;

• to foster innovative research among scientists, inventors, postgraduate and graduate students and school children;

• to draw young generation’s attention towards research and technical creativity;

• to build the environment for implementing innovative technologies in Tatarstan Republic economics and to develop science absorbing industry with the aim of increasing the competitiveness of the production of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Nominations are: “The most promising project”, “Innovations and Education”, “Nano-impulse”, “Innovative regions projects of Russia” , “Collaboration”, “The Year’s best innovation”, “Tatarstan Republic socio-economic development”.

Time and stages:
1st stage (April 1 – October 15) – registration and expert review of projects which take place at Academy of Science of Tatarstan Republic and IVF TR representative offices;
 
2nd stage (October 16 – November 30) projects review and selection;

3rd stage (December 1 – December 30) competition results will be announced and the winners awarded.

Conditions:

At the suggestion of the Academy of science of Tatarstan Republic, projects are required to submit the documents that give evidence of companies’ intention to implement developments in Tatarstan Republic companies. This requirement does not concern the “Most promising project” and “Innovations and Education” nominations.

The above requirement will help to deal with one of the main barriers which occur with developments’ implementation and their upcoming commercialization.

The following candidates are welcome: individuals from Tatarstan Republic, regions of Russian Federation and foreign citizens.
 
Applications need to be sent to the Academy of Science of Tatarstan Republic or to representative offices of Investment and Venture Fund of Tatarstan Republic in Russian Federation, Tatarstan Republic, 420111, Kazan, Baumana street 20 (before October 15, 6.00 PM).
