President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov holds trustee council session of RT Investment-Venture Fund Council of trustees

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has held trustee council session of RT Investment-Venture Fund at the Government House. Members of Trustee Council discussed issues of further realization of some venture projects. Thus, course of implementing innovative project “Design and use of celoform (powder-like agent made of cotton pulp) in medicine” (OOO “Celoform”) has been debated. The project was initiated in 2005 by employees of Kazan state medical and Kazan state technological universities and implies introduction of new medicine made of cotton pulp meant for treatment of traumatic processes.

After becoming the winner in contest “Best 50 innovative ideas of Republic Tatarstan” in 2006 scientific works on medicine’s improvement have been financed and preliminary clinical studies have been carried out on the basis of medical institutions in Kazan, Moscow, Cheboksary, Ulianovsk, Ioshkar-Ola cities. Results showed high efficiency and perspectives of medicine’s use.

For the purpose of project’s commercialization a small innovative enterprise OOO “Celoform” has been created. Its founders are project authors and developers and RT investment-venture fund (IVF). Currently scientific works on developing technology of series production via program of grant support “Idea-1000”, nomination “Start-2” are being conducted.

For further working on the project RT President – chairman of Council of trustees Rustam Minnikhanov suggested searching for potential partners (for instance, pharmaceutical company) in order to promote product’s introduction to the market by joint efforts and co-financing. He also offered attracting Russian venture fund for project’s realization.

Later members of IVF Council of trustees discussed innovative project “Development of prototype of universal spectrometric complex “Unispec-200”. The project is being financed with frameworks of program of innovative projects “Idea-1000” of 2006 in nomination “Start-1” (OOO “Nanospec”). Director General of OOO “Nanospec” Murat Gilyazov reported on process of its realization.

Technical Director of OOO “Sahara” Felix Aukhadeev told about implementation of project “Development of technology of deep enzymatic hydrolysis with getting feedstuff - source of sugar”. It is being financed with frameworks of program of innovative projects “Idea-1000” in nomination “Start-1” (OOO “Sahara”). The project implies development of technology for producing feeding sugar from grain-fodder stuff. Members of Council of trustees consider this project to be in demand in the sphere of agricultural processing. Director General of JSC “Tatneftehiminvestholding” Rafinat Yarullin stressed that today OOO “Sakhara” is one of the strongest companies in the sphere of bio technologies.

On finishing the session Director of RT IVF Ainur Aideldinov answered journalists’ questions. He reminded likewise that IVF is preparing for holding the V Kazan venture fair on April, 23.
