Supervisory Board of the Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan hold a meeting

On October 31st, 2013 Supervisory Board the Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan hold a meeting in the Cabinet of Ministers of RT. The organization process of The 9th Top 50 Innovative Ideas for the Republic of Tatarstan Contest was on the agenda today.

Top 50 Innovative Ideas for the Republic of Tatarstan Contest is annually held in the republic. This year it will be organized again (the 9th contest).

Contest Organizers:
 
• Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan;
• Academy of Science of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Objectives:

• to increase the innovative potential of Tatarstan Republic;
• to draw young generation’s attention towards research and technical creativity;
• to spread the achievements of science and technology;
• to support the implementation of the intellectual potential of the Republic of Tatarstan, the regions of the Russian Federation and of foreign countries to complete the priority tasks of science and technology, and social-economic objectives.

Contest Nominations are:

• “Perspective” category of the contest offers 10 awards each worth 25 000 roubles. Projects from the participants of Interregional Scientific-and-technical Projects Contest, which is organized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Tatarstan, are expected to be submitted. High school students, university students (1-2 year students), college students and continuing education program students may apply for the contest.

• “Innovation and Education” category of the contest offers 10 awards each worth 50 000 roubles. Projects concerning the innovative development of education may apply within the category.

• “Start of Innovations” category of the contest offers awards each worth 50 000 roubles. Projects concerning science and technology development in the Republic of Tatarstan may apply within the category.

• “Nanoimpulse” category of the contest offers 10 awards each worth 50 000 roubles. Projects in nanotechnology.

• “Cooperationn” category of the contest offers 5 awards each worth 50 000 roubles. Projects regarding industrial enterprises of the Republic of Tatarstan.

• “Year’s Best Invention” category of the contest offers 10 awards each worth 50 000 roubles. Projects regarding the implementation of inventions.

• Socio-Economic Development” category offers 10 awards each worth 50 000 roubles. Projects regarding social-economic and humanitarian development.

• “AIRR projects” category offers 10 awards each worth 50 000 roubles. Projects developed by Association of Innovative Regions of Russia may submit their applications.

Overall 1413 applications have been submitted this year to the contest (as a comparison, 1323 applications were submitted in 2012).

Award Ceremony will take place on December 12 in Korston hotel. Government authorities of the Republic of Tatarstan, the representatives of Russian and European venture capital industries, as well as Russian and regional investment funds are expected to take part in the ceremony.
