Organizing Committee of the 9th Top 50 Innovative Ideas for the Republic of Tatarstan Contest hold a meeting

Organizing Committee of the 9th Top 50 Innovative Ideas for the Republic of Tatarstan Contest hold a meeting on selecting a convenor, deputy convenor and a secretary of the committee. Besides, the results of the first stage of the Contest were announced and the procedure for the second stage was confirmed, as well as the list of the members of the advisory committee.

Overall 1413 applications have been submitted to the contest.

This year's nominations are the following: "Perspective", "Start of Innovations" "Nano-impulse", "Cooperation", "The Year's Best Invention", "Social and Economic Development of RT", "Innovations and Education", "AIRR Projects", as well as "Start 1", "Start 2" and "Youth Innovative Project" of Idea-1000 program.

The largest amount of projects were submitted from the Ministry of Education and Science (228), Kazan State Agrarian University (181), Kazan National Research Technological (169). Academy of Science of the Republic of Tatarstan (166); Kazan National Research Technical University named after A.N. Tupolev (138) and Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering (111).

Most of the applications were received with the projects concerning education (408); agriculture, environment, natural resource management, food industry, biotechnology, veterinary (224); building industry (90); oil and gas (89). Only a few applications with projects on security and counter-terrorism were submitted (7) to the contest.

Projects that meet contest requirements and demonstrate big potential for future development will proceed to the second stage of the contest.

The Advisory Committee of the contest are comprised of researchers, scholars, representatives of government institutions, companies of the Republic of Tatarstan and of the Russian Federation.

Award Ceremony will take place on December 12 at  Korston hotel.
