On December 11, 2012 in Kazan, the ceremony of awarding the winners of the "50 best innovative ideas for the Republic of Tatarstan" competition was held.

The competition is held by Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan jointly with the Academy of Sciences for the 8th time. Competition "50 best innovative ideas for the Republic of Tatarstan" – trigger of innovative changes, search and selection of ideas. This year the competition was held on 8 categories: "Perspective", "Start innovation", "Nanoimpuls", "Cooperation", "Best Invention of the Year", "Socio-economic development of the Republic of Tajikistan", "Innovations in Education", "Association of Innovative Regions Russia ". 75 winners will receive the prizes. The competition is held as the expert selection of projects to award their authors by awards and scholarships from the partners of the competition. There is also prizes and scholarships from the partners - 40 awards.

During these 8 years over 8000 applications were received , 1323 of which in 2012.
